Future of Life

FLI founders

In 2014, together with my husband, Max Tegmark, and our friends, Anthony Aguirre, Jaan Tallinn and Vika Krakovna I co-founded the Future of Life Institute. The institute was born out of an idea that we are all passionate about: namely that with great technology comes great responsibility in creating and utilizing it in safe and beneficial ways. Because we believe technology will define our future and because most visions of the future are dystopic, we wanted to find ways to envision and plan for a different kind of future, a long and wonderful one.

You can check out some of our current projects here and below you can watch a short video I made about the first year of FLI.

You can also read some of my musings about artificial intelligence and nuclear technology.
